What Do You Dream of Becoming?

By Mary Jaksch

The start of a New Year is an opportunity for change. It’s a chance to reflect on where you are going and to focus on your dreams: What do you want to do? What do you want to become?

Listen to the video with the beautiful soundtrack below (it’s played by the violinist Joshua Bell). As you listen, let your mind roam and see what dreams are waiting to be fulfilled.

If you can’t see the video below, click here to see it.

What are your dreams for your life? What do you want to do? What do you want to become?

Happy New Year! Thank you for the lovely video, which reminded me of a lovely lavender farm near my parents home, and also for the message. I am hoping that 2011 will bring me clarity and confidence to find a path of contributing more meaningfully.

Beautiful video. The lavender and green really makes it come alive. Just what I needed after sitting on the plane for an hour while they tried to un-jam the jetway ramp so that we could get off. I loved the sound of the violin. Very relaxing and calming.

Happy New Year.

In the new year I want to flip the 80/20 rule over, so I am spending 80% of my time on worthwhile, productive and creative projects. When I experience a challenge with finding unique content for the site or for a client’s blog, or I experience a new technical landmine, sometimes it stops me in my tracks and I actually lose a couple of days, putting me farther behind. I want to be open to all those challenges this year, and swim right through to the other side.
Thanks, All, and Happy New Year!

I could actually smell the lavender, feel the warmth of the sun, hear the humming of the bee and the gentle flutter of butterfly wings touching the magic and warmth of the day. It reminded me of being in a field of daffodils with my mum years ago…yellow daffs as far as the eye could see and that beautiful woman asked the farmer could she buy a bunch! ‘Take as many as you can hold in your arms,’ was his reply. My hope for this year is to give as much love and help to those around me as possible, and to find a way to do that that fulfills my creative potential and dreams.

Beautiful pictures (I love lavender!) and beautiful music.

I want to be the best me I can in 2011 … no more being the person I think others want me to be. I am me!

Happy New Year!

Hi Mary,
Lovely! Lavender is one of my favorite flowers. I used to grow it on the farm. I’ve had a few bushes at each place I’ve lived since. Combined with Joshua Bell it’s Divine!
I want to be a more loving person. I want to serve others and help them to grow. I dream of a more simpler life. I need to get hubs on board with that.

So beautiful.. Yes, the New Year is a great time for a new start, a fresh beginning, a clean slate.
My dreams are fairly simple – health. peace. passion. Am hoping all of that will shine through in everything I do this year.
Happy New Year, Mary!

Mary-thank you Mary. Your post affirmed for me that I wish to spend more time inspiring/touching others thru my words. And most important of all reminded me that I wish to spend more time nourishing, my soul and be still to listen to music and just connect more with life and nature. Decorate my bedroom/house in shades of lavendar and green and allow sunshine and light to shine thru in all I do.

What an absolutely gorgeous offering Mary. Your words and the video evoke something very powerful in me, make me realize I really do have a dream. Two dreams actually. One is to do all I can this coming year to be a blessing in this world. The other is to be a success in this world. The latter has been a hard one for me to fully acknowledge for some reason but I’m getting there…
What a wonderful friend you are Mary. Thanks for everything. I could tell your spirit is right at home there in the beautiful fields of lavender and soaring with the music…Have a wonderful 2011.

This beautiful video reminds me of the south of France. I wonder if it was filmed there. I love the smell of lavender soap in the small towns in Provence.

Mary the colors, the lavender, the music – all inspire every fiber of my being. It wakes up dreams and lifts the spirit. Such a lovely and powerful video – thank you :)

I wish you a brilliant 2011 – filled with dreams come true and new dreams born

Great video. Very inspiring. It reminded me that something very important to me is lacking in my life right now – music. If I want to reach my goals, I need to revisit the inspiration offered by music.

Thanks!
