Its truly amazing how many decisions we make every single day. I am personally a huge fan of have more options with everything. Thank you for the share!
Thanks for the very great information and video attachment to your post. I think choice overload problem is very common nowadays due to many choices you cannot decide what would the decision to be made. I really love the discussion on how to solve this specific problem.

I am unable to listen to this video right now. I have CHOSEN not to watch any video clips during this session at the computer, but just write and comment, okay? Anyway, I learned decades ago (I am now 65) not to have so many items on my mental agenda for any given day. Therefore, I have fewer choices to make. As we grow older, there are fewer and fewer things that are THAT important, you know?

Agree!
The Happiness Project Daily Calendar for today, Jan 26th, has us asking the five fateful questions for making decisions: What am I waiting for? What would I do if I wasn’t scared? What steps would make things easier? What would I do if I had all the time and money in the world? What is the worst, and the best, that could happen.
Now there is a a 1 minute way of dealing with decisions. And i agree with Rose, being overloaded, after listening to several parts of this I also decided not add to my overload today. Olive oil? Jam? Yes, it is TED and the time is set—thank for putting this up there anyhow!!
I never watch videos. I did read an article about ‘how to manage ones self’ and found out I am one who learns from reading and writing. This explains why videos have no appeal to me. Probably explains why I am not a phone person either.
I am always disappointed when the message comes via video.
But thanks for a GREAT blog. I always enjoy it.
When it comes to making decisions, I always consult my heart. You shouldn’t always have to do what makes sense. Sometimes, you have to do what FEELS RIGHT, because that’s what makes all the difference.

I agree with the concepts shared in the video. The problem is the that there are times when we are too bombarded that we have to spend a lot of time mulling over the right choice.

There are too many possible outcomes when making choices which you really cannot control. The only thing you have power over is the life choices you will make now, and how you will act and react to new situations they bring.
Like the video, have a great day!

Less clutter, more clarity.Less is more and keeps things simple.
The inference about making choices easy by having more categories, is a revelation to me.

I enjoyed watching the video. Sometimes having choices isn’t something we want.
Mary,
I love this TED talk. I reduced the number of choices I make by throwing out my junk mail rather than reading it, unless I had a specific NEED I had in mind. I realised that flipping through junk mail was causing me unhappiness, because I was looking at all of the options I had to spend my cold hard cash – a lot of choices there – AND I pined after wants and not NEEDS. Now when I need something, I pick out 3-4 of the best provider’s advertisements, find what I want, choose the best value for money, and then go buy it. I can definitely say that having less choices means I have been much happier with the purchases I have made.
Thanks for sharing
great post and blog. thank for this news.
thank you for this.
Hi,
I must say thank you for the video. I did make notes and will try to follow them as much as I can.
Daily I make a lot of decisions, and sometimes I really can’t stand them anymore.
Great post. The TED talks are an incredible resource!
I totaly agree with that women. We must make too many choices and
probably in all that hury we make wrong decisions.
Pretty nice video and information in this post, thanks.
I and also my guys have been reading the great solutions located on your web page then suddenly I got a terrible suspicion I never thanked the web site owner for those techniques. The women had been for that reason stimulated to see them and have now seriously been taking pleasure in these things. Thank you for really being so kind and then for opting for this kind of nice subjects millions of individuals are really needing to know about. Our sincere regret for not expressing gratitude to you sooner.
Too many decisions to make each day. Each decision can potentially alter your whole life.
