Do YOU Know Which Foods Beat Cancer? New Research

By Mary Jaksch

New research shows that cancer research is moving in a new direction. Now there is evidence that certain foods prohibit cancer from taking hold. Or stop it coming back.

Check out this video by Dr. William Li. He explains that drugs designed to cut off a cancerous tumor’s blood supply show promise, but diet can help keep the process from even starting in the first place:

According to Dr. William Li, we should eat the following foods in order to starve cancer: red grapes, strawberries, soy beans, parsley, and garlic. Check out the video to see amazing graphs of how these foods can help cancer to be starved of blood supply

Dr. Li also cites research by the Harvard School of Public Health  by Dr. Lorelei Mucci of 79,000 men:
“Men who consume 2-3 servings of cooked tomatoes per week have a reduced risk for developing prostrate cancer by 40-50%”

This is a new revolution in cancer prevention and treatment. Please share this post through Tweets and emails so that this information reaches as many people as possible.

Hi Mary,
I strongly recommend you to read ‘Anticancer’ by David Servan-Schreiber, an insightful read about how he beat cancer the unconventional way!

Mary,
Thanks for the reminder that everyday whole foods have amazing properties. Based on some of my readings, the foods mentioned in your post should be organically grown if possible, some like strawberries and grapes carry a heavy pesticide load. It is currently strawberry season here in Bucks County, PA and these are some of the sweetest strawberries I have ever tasted.

Hi Mary,
this is so true. Diet can certainly hep fight any disease including cancer. And to the list of food you mention I would like to add aloe vera. The jel produced from its leaves has many properties, including the fact that it’s a powerful anti leukemic agent. I discovered that through my vet: my cat is affected by feline leukemia and the drug that is normally administered in these cases is not available at the right dosage for cats. So he suggested to try aloe vera. The cat is improving: probably the disease will never disappear, but his conditions are certainly much better.
The important thing to remember though is that all these food should be organic for them to preserve their properties.

To your prosperous journey

Paola

Mary! Thank you ! Thank you! Thank you! I have been taking all of these foods in raw and supplement form for years. I knew that this was the wise thing but I could never explain it as well as Dr. Li did! I will follow this regimen even more avidly now. And I will share it with my friends.
I’m off to make some vegetarian chili now.
Again Thank You,
Anna

Mary, I appreciate your kind effort to help others stay well by sharing this information. My experience and view are a little different. The five foods listed here to starve cancer would all make me very ill. I believe the best way to approach cancer or any illness is to tune in and listen to the wisdom of your own body. While research can provide helpful information, in the end we are all biochemically different – one person’s food can be another person’s poison, which is what I wrote about just this very morning. Wishing you the best.

Its been an interesting and informative talk. We need to take charge of our eating habits which was clearly stated to help our body. Thank you.

I knew about cancer preventing properties in the food that you mentioned but soya comes as a bit of a shock. I was under the impression that it messed up the estrogen balance but looks like I was wrong. Great tips

Always interesting to read the latest on cancer research. I’m more familiar with cancer in animals than humans, especially dogs, because a beloved dog was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer a few years ago. He made journal records for surviving 18 months post-diagnosis–typically it’s a few weeks to 60 days with the type of cancer he had (hemangiosarcoma).

There were a couple of variables going on for him, but the main thing that vets believe allowed him to beat it for a long time–and have a high quality of living–was his diet, which I started immediately. He wasn’t that far off to start with, but the main thing was very few carbs/sugars. Mostly protein and fat. From the research that Gregory Ogilvie has done (a little here: http://www.caninecancer.com/nutrition.html), cancer cells thrive on sugars. Modern human diets, especially American, are so high in sugars and I wonder why I haven’t seen more information on this (though I haven’t been looking much lately either). It’s standard in veterinary oncology. Think I’ll do some reading.

Also there are so many environmental things going on too–household chemicals for starters not to mention pesticides, herbicides, etc etc, so many things–diet alone isn’t going to help anyone if they’re smoking cigarettes and spraying stuff all over the place and whatever (yeah I use a lot of vinegar, organic for lawn and garden and so on)

Garlic and parsley was a part of my dog’s diet, too, though dogs can’t have grapes :) All my animals are on low-carb/sugar diets now for prevention, and I have a cat who is in a very unusually long first remission with lymphoma.

Interesting.
